"NES is an enjoyable and rewarding place to work. I have been with the company for over three years and continue to enjoy my position. It has been a growing experience and has improved my ability to interact and problem solve with a diverse range of individuals. It also motivated me to pursue a degree in social work and allows me to continue to gain valuable experience while pursuing my educational goals. BECOME A DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

The Heart of NES

Direct Support Professionals are the heart of our organization.  They play a vital role in helping individuals with developmental disabilities live fulfilling and indepenedent lives.  They provide day-to-day support with personal care, routines, and skill-building while also encouraging community involvement and inclusion.  DSPs are companions, advocates, and encouragers, making sure each person they support is treated with diginity and respect.  No two days are the same, but every day brings the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

A DSP position is more that just a job, it’s the foundation of a rewarding career.  Many leaders within our organization began as a DSP and advanced into supervisory or program management roles.  With ongoing training, certifications, and professional development opportuiites, DSPs have te potential to grown into positions of leadership and advocacy, shaping not only their own future, but also the future of disability sevices.

"I love working for the company. The clients are great to work with. There is always an opportunity to move up. I went from a DSP staff to a House Manager in a couple of months."
